Follow this Procedure to draw a Hemispherical Dish 2D in (AutoCAD):
Note: All Dimensions are in mm.
For Hemispherical Dish we have to consider 4 Points are:
1.Thickness (THK)
2. Internal Diameter (ID)
3. Inside Dish Radius
4. Height of the Dish
For Example:
How much Internal Diameter, Thickness of the Dish required for the client, For example he ask to make 1650mm ID Dish x 10mm thk
Open AutoCAD:
- Draw a radius of the circle = 825mm.
- Inside Dish radius (IDR) = (ID)/2
- =ID/2
- =1650/2
- =825
- Draw a horizontal line 1650mm center to the circle.
- Thickness of the dish is 10mm thk.
- Height(H) = D/2+thk
- =1650/2 + 10thk
- = 825 + 10
- = 835
How to calculate the volume of a Hemispherical Dish:
Volume of a Hemisphere Formula.
The volume of a hemisphere is half the volume of a sphere, therefore, it is expressed as,
Volume of hemisphere = 2πr3/3,
where r is the radius of the hemisphere.
How to Develop a Template or Blank to form a Required Hemispherical Dish:
For Example:
I want to Create a 1650 ID x 10thk Hemispherical Dish.
For the Create a Required Blank Formula:
- = (π x D)/2
- = (3.1428 x 1650)/2
- = 5185.62/2
- = 2592.81 Diameter
- = 2593 Diameter
Thickness of the Blank = 10Thk
Required Diameter of the blank = 2593 mm
